Zeke, known by the name Prospector Zeke, is a prospector and explorer who the Pirate and the Wizard often encounter on their adventures through the worlds of the Spiral. He often finds or is on the lookout for various artifacts and oddities in each world he visits. He travels along with his wife, the seamstress Eloise Merryweather.

Finding the Smiths[]

Soon after the Wizard had formally enrolled as a student in Ravenwood School of Magical Arts, Zeke asked them to help him find the Smiths, small dwarf-like men that were hiding throughout Wizard City. Zeke believed that they were not doing any good in their current locations, so he offered to pay the Wizard in return for finding all of them and telling Zeke where to go to find them. The Smiths were located in After finding them all, Zeke thanked the Wizard and paid them for their efforts.[1]

After bringing a shaking package that said "Dreadful" from Marleybone, Zeke asked the Wizard if they knew anything about what that could mean. After they explained that Dreadful simply meant their friend Penny Dreadful, The Wizard went to deliver it to her, but she wasn't there. Learning that Penny had left to go investigate the whereabouts of the at-large renegade Death professor Malistaire Drake, The Wizard immediately went to go find her before she could get herself into any trouble. After finding her, Penny exclaimed how she was so happy to see her friend, as she had not been able to remember any of her spells due to not having her spellbook. She then opened her package, revealing that it was a pet Blue Cyclops from her parents back home. Though due to her allergy to Blue Cyclops, she gave it to the Wizard instead.[2]
Finding the Beetles[]
Meeting again in Krokotopia, Zeke informed the Wizard that the Smiths they had found were given good homes and were being appreciated. This time, Zeke wanted to find Beetles that were located throughout Krokotopia. The Wizard found two of the Beetles in the Oasis and one in the Altar of Kings, Chamber of Fire, Sphinx Island, Entrance Hall, Emperor's Retreat, Tomb of Storms, Well of Spirits, and Karanahn Barracks.[3]
