- "You seem confused. It's very simple. Queen Krokopatra and the Tuts of old were meant to be locked for centuries in the Great Sleep. But some sort of wind knocked destiny off course and changed their future/your present. And what is the only thing capable of that? That's right! Time Butterflies. Well, technically, their true name can only be pronounced in a 4th dimensional language imperceptible to human ears. So let's just go with 'Time Butterfly.' It's said the flapping of their wings can create a typhoon on the other side of the space-time continuum."
- ―The Professor to the Wizard[src]
"Time Butterflies" (true name unknown) are a form of cosmic Butterfly that are known to cause consequences to the timeline of the Spiral with the flapping of their wings.
Biology and appearance[]
Time Butterflies are somewhat large. They have six legs, yellow eyes, and brightly colored wings with patterns that resemble clocks.[1] They start off as Continuity Caterpillars, then enter into a state of Temporal Chrysalis, before emerging as full Time Butterflies.[2]
Behavior[]
Using their wings, Time Butterflies have the ability to alter time and change the course of future events. They can even bring individuals from different points in time to their current moment.[1] If an individual is bitten by a Time Butterfly, they will be erased from existence, and will have never existed.[3]
