The Stellarometer was a device used to scan and detail the makeup of an object as well as track objects in space and teleport the user to them. Qyburn Stellargaze, Astral Scholar at the Arcanum, used his previously unpacked Stellarometer within his office to scan and tell him the makeup of Novus, which had just splintered off Shards that went into the black hole into the greater Spiral. The Stellarometer concluded that Novus was made of music and Nothing. To investigate further, Qyburn had the Wizard travel via the Stellarometer to an incomplete area of Novus, where they encountered an Unformed Creature. The Wizard defeated the creature and returned to the Arcanum, but by that point the Stellarometer and Qyburn's other machines had been inadvertently destroyed by Maulwurf von Trap in his attempt to use Musicology to fix issues with them.[1]
