Skull Island is the pirate-operated capitol island of the world of Skull Island, located in the Skull Island Skyway. It and the surrounding skyway are owned by Captain Horace Avery, who made his purchases from the riches he obtained after the Napoleguinic Wars. Skull Island as well the lesser islands scattered throughout the other skyways are very attractive to merchants and colonists from throughout the Spiral due to the prevalence of exotic fruits, spices, timber, and other goods that are shipped or smuggled to other worlds.[1]
