Rookwon Wu was the uncle and sensei of Moolinda Wu. He was a member of the House of Wu, a clan of gardeners who were responsible for tending to the Garden of Eternal Brightness, the personal sanctuary of the Emperor of MooShu. Rookwon noted Moolinda's skillful mastering of gardening and sought an audience with Emperor Yoshihito for his counsel. Rookwon's recommendation led to the Emperor being impressed with Moolinda and taking a personal role in her education, with Moolinda becoming the Emperor's apprentice.[1]
