- "You've fought brilliantly, Admiral, but your cause is lost. Surrender or die!"
- ―Rooke[src]
Rooke was an Elite Clockwork who served the General of the Armada. One of the most fearsome members of Kane's Inner Court, Rooke was designed to be a powerful subordinate that would hold the power to control all of the Armada's military forces. During the war between the Armada and Marleybone, Rooke became captain of the Armada dreadnought flagship the Executioner. He led a large-scale assault on Marleybone that would have crippled the world's defense and forced it to surrender, however with the Pirate's destruction of Beachhead, the Royal Navy's regained allegiance of the Kurghas, Admiral Nelson and his allies turned the tide of the war in the Battle of Trafalgar, leading to Rooke's defeat.

Biography[]
Origin[]
In the aftermath of the Napoleguinic Wars, Kane realized that a strong Valencian military presence would be necessary in order to achieve Valencia's strategic ends. He immediately increased production of Clockwork Marines and ships, in the name of preserving peace and stability on the worlds that were "liberated" by the Armada's navy. However, Kane himself did not want to be burdened with military command, and so he needed a subordinate of his Inner Court who could be trusted with the complete strategic military command of the Armada. From these ideals, Kane began construction on the prototype Dragoon construct that would later become Rooke.
Once Rooke was completed, he immediately assumed control of all of the Armada's forces, which he then proceeded to deploy all across the Spiral. Rooke's forces went on to seize control of a multitude of formerly disputed worlds in the name of "public safety," though some detractors said that the campaigns were actually a ploy to solidify the Armada's control in the former Polarian territories. On that day, Rooke became one of the most feared members of Kane's Inner Court, and was soon known as the "Sword of Kane."[1]

Unlike the other members of Kane's Inner Court, Rooke rarely utilized subtlety or guile, relying heavily upon his excellent tactical sense and sheer brute strength. It is also said that unlike any other Inner court member, Rooke rarely resorted to subtlety, acting instead with his own peculiar sense of honor.[1]
