Pirate101 Rogue's Gallery or simply Rogue's Gallery is a biography series that details the backstories of characters and companions in the world of Pirate101. The series was published monthly by KingsIsle Entertainment in the Pirate101Monthly Newsletter, and it was produced as a video series on the KingsIsle YouTube channel from early 2013 to late 2015, but the videos stopped being produced after Rogue's Gallery: Samocles in October 2015. Starting in January 2016, all new biographies were published text-only until October 2018 when the series was discontinued altogether for unknown reasons.
On February 3, 2013, less than four months after the launch of Pirate101, the first Rogue's Gallery video was uploaded on the KingsIsle Entertainment YouTube channel, titled Rogue's Gallery: Captain Avery. Every month for over two years, KingsIsle produced 33 different videos until the release of Rogue's Gallery: Samocles on October 1, 2015, which was the final installment to be released in video form.
Starting with Rogue's Gallery: Count Brastillo de Brass in November 2015, all future Rogue's Gallery biographies would be published in text-only format through Pirate101's Monthly Newsletter. When a fan inquired why the decision was made to no longer produce Rogue's Gallery in video format on the Pirate101 Message Boards in May 2016, community manager One-Eyed Jack (Tom Purdue) responded and took all the blame, explaining that he had been "extremely busy and something had to give." Purdue did not, however, dispute the fan's indirect claim that the voice actor that had been providing narration for the Rogue's Gallery videos had been part of the layoffs at KingsIsle.[1]
Through October 2018, new biographies in the Rogue's Gallery series continued to be published, with Rogue's Gallery: Mickey Dugan being, as of yet, the final installment. As of March 2021, KingsIsle has yet to comment on the series' discontinuation or if there is any chance it could return in the future.
