Renee Wooften is a Marleybonian surveyor who was hired by Merle Ambrose to do renovations in Wizard City.

Wizard City renovation[]

"Oh, Hello! You're that Wizard everyone's always raving about, aren't you? I'm Renee. Nice to finally meet you. I'm glad you wandered by..."

Renee Wooften was hired by Merle Ambrose to renovate the Commons, the central area of Wizard City. The Wizard helped in the process of surveying, measuring distances between markers and giving supplies to Renee and her workers. Soon after, Renee's construction crew arrived, and began work on the Commons and other connected areas in the city. Eventually, the work in the Commons was completed.

Olde Town opening[]

Renee and her workers look at the mysterious opening.

"We don't know where the tunnel goes, or how stable it is. It could undermine every foundation in Wizard City! One false move, and buildings start collapsing!"

While doing some digging in Olde Town for the second stage of Wizard City renovations, Renee and her workers uncovered some kind of opening. Fearing that messing with it any further would undermine every foundation in Wizard City, they left it alone.

Renee Wooften is named after then-Wizard101 and Pirate101 associate producer Renee Wooten and based on their dog Sadie.^[2]
Out-of-universe, Renee Wooften was introduced to usher in the major graphical update to Wizard101 for the game's 10 year anniversary ("Decaversary") in 2018. She later had a role in the Wizard City Underground story update, released in November 2019.
