Josef T. Hall is an American video game developer who was the former Vice President and Creative Director of KingsIsle Entertainment, and thus the creative lead of both Wizard101 and Pirate101 from February 2013 to May 2018.[1] He is the co-creator of both games with J. Todd Coleman.[2][3] Hall joined KingsIsle when the company was founded in 2005, where he started off as the Director of Technology. In August 2009, he was given the new position of Vice President of Development. After J. Todd Coleman departed KingsIsle in 2013, Hall took over his position as Creative Director. Hall would ultimately leave KingsIsle on July 10, 2018 to join J. Todd Coleman's studio ArtCraft Entertainment, developers of Coleman's Crowfall, where he worked at Vice President of Engine Technologies and later Chief Technology Officer prior to the closure of the company in December 2022. He is now the Chief Technology Officer at Portalis AI, a company he co-founded with J. Todd Coleman.[1]

  • Josef T. Hall was immortalized into Wizard101 with the addition of the NPC Commander Hall, introduced as part of the "Decaversary" 10th anniversary celebrations in 2018.
