An adult Firecat being summoned in combat.
Firecats or Fire Cats are Cat-like creatures in the Spiral which embody the elemental Magic of Fire. They are known to be summoned by Pyromancers in combat and are also domesticated and kept as pets by Wizards. Notably, Firecat Alley in Wizard City is named after the Firecat, with many statues of the creatures adorning the streets.[1] Young Firecats are known as Firekittens or alternatively Firekitties.[2]
About[]
Firecats hatch from Radiant Eggs. They are typically non-sentient, though are able to speak when summoned by magic. In Dalia Falmea's Pyromancy curriculum, the Firecat is the first introductory spell Pyromancers learn. Sub-species of Firecat include the Inferno Cat, which hatch from Mysterious Eggs.
Introduction to Fire[3][]
In the first lesson in Pyromancy, Falmea sends the Wizard to Dragon's Mouth Cave with a Bloodstone Ruby to summon the Servants of the Dragon. At the whisper of the name Felidae Pyronus, a Firecat appears to the Wizard and grants them access to the cave.
Trivia[]
- "Fire Cat" is the first Spell that new Fire Wizards will be able to use when first starting Wizard101. It is Rank 1 and does 80-120 base Damage and can be upgraded via Spellements.
