Biography[]
Dragon King created the Golden Staff long ago from the golden pillars that decorate his hall to harness control of the sea and sky. Monkey King tricked the Dragon King out of the Golden Staff to use it as a weapon, and stole and hid his Jade Egg in the Valley of the Titans. The Dragon King reclaimed his Golden Staff when Monkey King was imprisoned underneath Sacred Mountain, but his Jade Egg remained lost.
Despite his reluctance to give up the Golden Staff, the Dragon King honorably proposes a Challenge: whoever returns his lost Jade Egg will be granted one wish, which would behoove him to surrender the Golden Staff if the wish demands it.
