Dalia Falmea is the Fire Professor at the School of Fire, part of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts in Wizard City. A fire elf and powerful pyromancer, Falmea was born on Avalon, eventually finding her way into Wizard City.

During the time meddling done by the Maestro, Falmea's life was changed so that she briefly studied as a thaumaturge. The Professor, accompanied by the Wizard, were able to right the timeline and prevent a chaotic future.

Biography

Early life

Dalia was born in Avalon during the month of July, and grew up not understanding her parents' love of using fire magic, which they used to tend to the ash-trees found in her village. Falmea preferred to study the latest fashions out of Valencia, using her father's Crystal Orb.

One day when exploring the Wyrd, Falmea became lost and cold. Just when she thought that she was going to die, Merle Ambrose, who was visiting the forest, taught her to use fire magic to conjure a flame that would keep her warm and light a path.^[1]

Years later, Falmea moved to Wizard City and joined Ravenwood School of Magical Arts and was wrongly enrolled in the School of Ice, due to time meddling by the Maestro. He interacted with her and discouraged her from joining the School of Fire, in an attempt mess up her future and get her expelled, which would prevent her from ever becoming a Ravenwood professor. She ended up switching to the School of Fire with help from the Wizard and The Professor, who traveled back in time to help Dalia Falmea through one of her projects and convincing Falmea to then ask Gamma to switch to the School of Fire in order to save the future.^[2]

After Dalia Falmea switched schools to the School of Fire, professor Memphis had her take a welcome test by dueling the Fire spirit Kasai Baku. With the assistance of the Wizard, she was able to defeat Baku. As a final test, Memphis sent Falmea to the Fire Tower to fight his apprentice, Grimsnes BurntBlack. Upon meeting him, Falmea and the Wizard discover that he was compromised, and was serving the Maestro. Grimsnes sent fire wraiths to attack the two of them, and fled into the lower level of the tower. After defeating the wraiths, they found and fought Grimsnes, ultimately defeating him. After telling Memphis of Grimsnes' betrayal, Memphis revealed to them that he had been training Grimsnes to possibly replace him as professor of the School of Fire.^[1]

Dalia Falmea was designed by the late Gregg Hargrove circa 2006.
Dalia Falmea was the first graduate of Ravenwood to take on a position teaching afterwards.^[1]
