Centaurzan

Centaurzan is a Centaur from Lemuria.

Centaurs, sometimes self-proclaimed the Sons of Nephele,[1] are a sentient race in the Spiral. They are a quadrupedal species with a lower half resembling a horse-like equine body and an upper half featuring a human-like head, arms and torso. Centaurs are widely regarded as skilled archers and fierce warriors.[2] Centaurs are native to the Magnesia region of Achaea in Aquila, but individuals may be found in other worlds including Lemuria and Skull Island.

History[]

Long ago during the formation of the Second Empire of Aquila, Aquilus made a pact with the Centaurs to solidify an alliance between the Centaurs and the Eagles.[3]

War with the Amazons[]

When the Graea were tricked out of their Shears by Ares, they kidnapped Queen Aurora and stole away the Amazons' treasured statue of Queen Hippolyta. This ignited a war between the two groups, who both believed the other was responsible for the theft of their respective Queen. The violent conflict disrupted natural life for both the Amazons and the Centaurs. Both groups resorted to pilfering building materials from the Aqua Novum Aqueduct.[4]

The war was ended by the intervention of the Pirate, who returned the Shears of the Graea and rescued both Queen Aurora and the statue of Queen Hippolyta.[1]

  • Anixander, current chieftain of the Centaurs of Magnesia.
