"Bumbles" is the nickname given to a former Heap crime boss who runs the Honeybee Diner in the territory of Doctor Prune. He worked for the Golden Lion during the crime siege and so was the target of the rival gangs, who wanted to know of his boss's location. He was arrested by Dog Tracy and put in the Lock-Up within Tracy's station for interrogation,[1] but before long the Lock-Up was broken into by Pips Mooless's Moo Crew, who took Bumbles to their base the Moo Cafe so they could make him spill the Golden Lion's location.[2] Tessa Truehart AKA The Shadoe retrieved Bumbles from the Cafe and left him within her lab, where she would use her Mind Talisman to project the Wizard into Bumbles's mind so that they could clear out the static and find information on the Golden Lion. There, the Wizard photomanced a thought of the Golden Lion reestablishing his dominance of the Heap by defeating Dog Tracy.[3] Truehart took this as indication that Bumbles had sent Dog Tracy into a trap and locked Bumbles back up.[4]
