Artie Rogers, known by his alias "GraniteHeart," is the Game Director at KingsIsle Entertainment since January 2024, overseeing the design and development of Wizard101, Pirate101, and the upcoming Ravenwood Academy: A Wizard101 Story. Rogers has worked for KingsIsle over two distinct eras, being Senior Designer (and the additional role of World Design Lead for Wizard101) for the studio's MMORPGs from January 2006 until his departure in February 2010, then returning to KingsIsle half a decade later in May 2015 as Lead Designer for the studio's new mobile department. In March 2019, Rogers was moved to the MMO Live Team and returned to doing design work for Wizard101 as Lead Designer. He was promoted to Design Director in November 2021 and again to his current position in January 2024. Before his original era with KingsIsle, Rogers worked in various quality assurance roles for Electronic Arts before switching to design work with Midway Studios Austin titles The Hobbit and Area 51, and NCSoft title Tabula Rasa. After departing KingsIsle in February 2010, Rogers went on to work in various high-profile roles including Lead Producer for Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising at Heatwave Interactive, Senior Game Designer for Magic: The Gathering – Tactics at Sony Online Entertainment, and Senior Content Designer for The Elder Scrolls Online at ZeniMax Online Studios.[1]
