The Spider Saga, better known as Arc 3, is the third storyline in the MMORPG Wizard101 by KingsIsle Entertainment. The arc focuses on Grandfather Spider and his children the Rat, the Scorpion, and the Bat. The arc began with the release of Polaris in 2015, which was followed by Mirage in 2016 and Empyrea Part 1 in 2017, concluding with the release of Empyrea Part 2 in 2018.
Arc 3's narrative was mostly overseen by Rob Chestney, with Pirate101 lead writer Sam Johnson stepping in for Empyrea. Other writers included Mike Sears, William Haskins, and Anders Fischer. It is notably the last arc to involve game co-creator Josef T. Hall, who departed KingsIsle in early 2018. Hall had come up with the story for Polaris and served as one of its writers.
