Aldared, known as Aldared the Usurper,[1] was a graduate of Dragonspyre Academy who used his knowledge to unseat the king and become Dragonspyre's new ruler. His rule was ruthless and he was despised by his people. The wizards and warriors of Dragonspyre eventually united against Aldared and overthrew him, and at that point Dragonspyre was jointly ruled by wizards, warriors, and king.[2]

- Aldared was first mentioned on two separate occasions as part of the Dragonspyre expansion in Wizard101.[1][2] He was mentioned again in Pirate101 via the "Aldared's Sigil" Treasure item, a possible drop from the Dragonspyre Renegades Booster Pack.[3]
